Power without blind writes

Review Firestore bulk changes before writing

Select loaded documents, stage one field update or deletions, inspect every diff, and apply each document with visible failure handling.

01

Select the exact loaded rows

Bulk actions use only the document IDs you select in the current table. They do not expand to every query match, hidden page, collection, or subcollection.

02

Create one pending change per document

Stage a shared field value or selected deletions locally, then inspect the affected IDs and field-level diffs.

03

Handle partial success honestly

Cengal applies each pending document operation separately. Successful changes leave the queue; failures remain pending with their errors.

Scope and limits

Know what this workflow does.

  • Selected-row bulk actions require Cengal Pro.
  • The operation is not one atomic Firestore transaction or write batch.
  • Unloaded, unselected, and subcollection documents are never included implicitly.
